It is particularly suited for<br \/>\nmonitors and industrial high capacity hydrants.<br \/>\nThe Model FP 405-11 is held closed by line-pressure applied to the control chamber of the valve. The closed<br \/>\nvalve prevents the water (or water foam) from passing through the valve, keeping the downstream piping dry.<br \/>\nIn the set position, the line pressure is applied to the control chamber of the valve. The pressure holds the main<br \/>\nvalve\u2019s diaphragm and plug against the valve seat. Seal is drip tight. The Check Valve traps high pressure peaks<br \/>\nensuring that the valve remains locked in the closed position to maintain drip tight sealing.<br \/>\nTo open, a \u00bc turn of the Manual Release Pilot handle releases pressure from the control chamber through the<br \/>\nopened Manual Release Valve.
